Primrose School of Thornton is seeking a School Administrator for our private preschool. We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, a problem solver, and possesses great communication skills. This individual needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our next generation.
 
The School Administrator is responsible for operating the school in accordance with Primrose School of Thornton policies and procedures and state licensing standards.  Provide a safe, educational, and nurturing environment for children, parents, and staff.  Promote the Primrose School of Denver North in the community to build awareness, enrollment, and achieve planned profitability. Support teachers through ongoing professional development with a focus on Balanced Learning ® curriculum implementation, fidelity and continuous improvement for teachers and students.
 
Qualifications: 
  • Must meet requirements of local childcare regulatory agency and Primrose School of Thornton.
  • At least two years' work experience in a licensed childcare facility, kindergarten or early childhood program preferred.
  • Experience in management, business, and/or public relations preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
Responsibilities: 
  • Provides front desk coverage for all customer service needs – primarily during morning drop-off and afternoon pick up.
  • Understands, promotes, and models Primrose School of Thornton vision and mission.
  • Provide superior customer service to all external and internal customers. 
  • Observes all rules and regulations at Primrose School of Denver North and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
  • Assists the Director and Assistant Director with the necessary management responsibilities to ensure maximum enrollment and effective cost control to produce profit.
  • Knowledge of, and adhere to, employment laws and compliance issues related to those laws. 
  • Assists in keeping school physically well kept, attractive, and safe.
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
  • Ability to perform all of the essential functions for each position in the school, including, but not limited to, other leadership team positions, teacher, food service teacher, and bus driver.  
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
  • Passionately believes in and is able to communicate all aspects of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach to teaching and learning.
  • Creates a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. 
  • Maintains confidentiality.
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Primrose School of North Employee Handbook

Compensation: $17.50 - $22.00 per hour
